The results are in, and by now most Malaysians are probably up to speed on who our new Miss Universe Malaysia is. 18 year-old Kimberley Leggett from Penang has conquered various photo shoot challenges, interviews and elimination rounds to win the hearts of the judges, nation and of course, the coveted crown. 
Now, many of us may know her age and where she hails from, but do you know that she is a student majoring in Economics & Business, as well as a part-time model? Talk about having beauty and brains! The Penang lass also stands tall at a height of 1.75m - a trait which surely gave her an edge in the competition. The sunny island is where she was born - to parents of mixed heritage - and raised, and perhaps as an extension of her DNA, she is terrifically multilingual. Kimberley is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu and French.
Academics and looks aren't all that's outstanding about our new representative for the Miss Universe 2012 pageant, however. She is keen on giving back to society, as she has had rich volunteer experience in the form of being co-organiser of the Haiti Earthquake Fundraising Team and participating in the 'Relay for Life' event where she walked all night to signify the ongoing battle against cancer. And that's just a few of the distinctions we named off a long list of her charitable efforts!
In short, it's crystal clear that our country has chosen the right face and personality to be our Miss Universe Malaysia.
